CRM 2011: An error occurred while trying to add the report to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Try adding the report again. If this problem persists, contact your system administrator.
When importing a new solution into Microsoft CRM 2011 this
This error also gives name of the report which system tried
deleting/updating but could not.
Settings>Customization>Solutions>Reports>Select required report and
Sometime we might get following error
‘you cannot complete this action for
this component because of the configuration of its managed properties’
To fix above we need to run following statement in the
database to change report status from managed to unmanaged and then run delete
select * from ReportBase where IsCustomReport = 0
ReportBase set IsCustomReport = 1, IsManaged = 0 where IsCustomReport = 0 and ReportIdUnique=‘8E0E45E8-6565-4371-B6CD-061C347BA75C’
